Seven South African startups have been chosen for the Grindstone | E Squared Programme, a growth initiative focused on founders that aims to accelerate high-potential businesses supported by Allan Gray Fellows and Pathways Investees.

The six-month programme is managed by Grindstone, a venture accelerator co-owned by Knife Capital and Thinkroom Limited, in collaboration with E Squared Investments. It kicked off in July with an in-person networking event held in Johannesburg.

The selected startups represent various sectors, including software, ed-tech, e-health, logistics, and food. These startups are African Saga (a comic and anime series on Webtoon), Muna Studios (a zero-waste shopping platform), Glo’s Cookies (premium artisanal cookies), Genius UP (an exam prep ed-tech), Docotela Health (a telehealth platform), SUTA National Logistics (a delivery and moving service), and Fleetfund (a fleet-financing logistics platform).

Participants will gain access to the Grindstone Academy digital platform, workshops, coaching, and investor-readiness support. The programme also offers customized interventions to unlock market access and foster investor introductions.
