An X user, Morris Monye, has revealed how a man squandered ₦2.2 million he gifted him on Betking.
Monye said the man had reached out via DM, claiming he needed money for business support and his wife’s Cesarean Section (CS). Touched, he sent the ₦2,239,000 and planned further support.
However, the man blew the funds on betting and even sent his bank statement as proof. According to Monye, he has since been handed over to security operatives.
In a WhatsApp chat, the man confessed: “The whole business I explained to you was a lie and I also lied to my wife to borrow the money I return to you by telling her I was buying a land. It was an intentional but an addict my wife never knew..So I’ve explain everything to her last night. When I I gave her tall details of what happened.”
He admitted to Monye that he was an addict and had already confessed to his wife.
