A new update has emerged concerning the death of Arise TV news anchor and presenter, Somtochukwu Maduagwu.
Reports earlier confirmed that Somtochukwu tragically died on September 29, 2025, during an armed robbery attack at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. The sad news was announced on the official Arise TV News X page the same day.
In a fresh post, Charlie of Umana disclosed that Somtochukwu was preparing to mark her 30th birthday and wedding ceremony in just two months. His update included a screenshot of a chat with her cousin, who narrated the incident.
According to her cousin: “There was an armed robbery in her compound, she fell off the 3-story building and was unconscious. The police got to the scene, they pleaded with the police to take her to the hospital but their response was ‘THEY HAD NO Fuel.’ She died upon arrival.”
The message further read: “Hospital. She was supposed to get married in two months time. She was supposed to clock 30 in 2 months time. This is just unbearable.”
Meanwhile, the FCT Police Command has confirmed that an investigation has been launched. Security operatives are working discreetly to identify, track, and arrest those behind the tragic incident.
