According to Statistics South Africa, the unemployment rate for those aged 15–34 was 46.4% in Q1 2025, while nearly 3 in 10 young South Africans are classified as NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training).
At the same time, employers in critical sectors such as finance, telecommunications, and digital services report difficulty sourcing talent with up-to-date technical skills. South Africa grapples with high youth unemployment and a growing demand for digital skills.

According to its 2024 Graduate Impact Report, 88% of graduates secured a new tech job within six months of completing their bootcamp, while 85.6% transitioned into careers directly in the tech industry. Graduates also reported a median salary increase of 178% after completing their training, with many employed by leading organizations such as Google, Vodacom, Absa, and Accenture.
