Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has shared how her husband’s dream of becoming a filmmaker was clear from the beginning of their relationship.
Naija News reports that in a post on her Instagram page, she recalled that when they first met, Daniel spoke about wanting to make films while he was pursuing a Master’s degree in Filmmaking at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, while she was studying Producing at the New York Film Academy.
According to her, their career paths seemed aligned from the start, and his passion for directing never faded.
Over the years, Daniel built his craft by directing commercials for well-known brands, documentaries, and short films.
Some of his works have already earned him recognitions and awards.
Toyosi explained that his new film did not come out of nowhere but is built on years of consistent work and a strong creative base.
She wrote: “When I met @etimeffiong and asked what his plans in life were, he said pretty straightforwardly, ‘I want to make films’. He was getting a Masters in Filmmaking at the University of Johannesburg in SA and I was getting a one-year diploma in Producing at New York Film Academy in New York, so his dream didn’t scare me. In fact, it seemed like we were very much aligned.”
