Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his pledge of a special match bonus to Shooting Stars Football Club following the club’s recent improved performance marked by an away victory over Warri Wolves last week.
The governor has also expressed confidence in the club’s current leadership, describing the Taiwo Salami-led administration as the driving force behind 3SC’s progress.
Speaking when the chairman of the club led his board to his office, yesterday, the governor promised to watch the team’s next home match to motivate the side to victory.
Earlier, Salami expressed his gratitude to Makinde for his support of Shooting Stars, while presenting the club’s official merchandise to the governor.
Salami, accompanied by Executive Assistant to the Governor on Sports Development, Akin Akinleye, as well as one of the passionate supporters of the club, Idris Animasaun, who doubles as the director of 3SCFANTV, extended a special invitation to the governor to attend the club’s Matchday Seven fixture against Plateau United, on Sunday.
“His Excellency’s steadfast support remains a powerful source of motivation as we continue striving for greater success, both on and off the pitch,” said the 3SC boss.
