A previously recorded video has resurfaced online amid the ongoing clash between social media critic Martins Vincent Otse (VDM) and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof.
The pair recently caused a scene during a flight, an incident that went viral after VDM posted a clip accusing Mr Jollof of attacking him onboard.
Following the uproar, an older video showing both men exchanging verbal threats has reemerged. In the clip, Mr Jollof warned VDM to stop pointing fingers at him whenever his name is mentioned. He insisted that VDM should show him respect by calling him “Uncle,” and boasted that he would beat VDM “blue black” if they ever met physically. He added that VDM’s physical build did not intimidate him.
VDM, in response, dismissed the comedian’s threats. He declared that he would confront Mr Jollof first if they ever crossed paths and would defend himself without hesitation. He went further to say that if Mr Jollof failed to deliver the slap he had previously promised, he would be the one to do it.
Their rivalry long predates the recent in-flight altercation. The tension between them escalated months ago after VDM released a controversial video accusing Mr Jollof’s wife of infidelity and mocking the comedian for allegedly being unable to manage the situation. Since then, both men have engaged in a bitter exchange across social media platforms.
