• Olamide Baddo recognizes Wizkid’s longer tenure in the music industry.
  • Both artists gained fame around 2010; Wizkid with “Holla At Your Boy” and Olamide with “Eni Duro.”
  • They competed in the Next Rated category at the 2011 Headies Awards.

Nigerian music sensation Olamide Baddo has acknowledged that fellow artist Wizkid, 35, has been in the music scene longer than him.

Both artists rose to fame around 2010, with Wizkid gaining attention through his hit track Holla At Your Boy in January, while Olamide made his mark with Eni Duro a few months later. Their early success also saw them competing in the Next Rated category at the 2011 Headies Awards, an honor that ultimately went to Wizkid.

Though many consider them peers in the industry, Olamide recently clarified in an interview with streamer Azeeez that Wizkid has a head start of roughly two years.

“Wizkid and I didn’t start doing music at the same time. He began a year or two before me and was already releasing songs before I came onto the scene,” Olamide explained.

It’s worth noting that Wizkid had earlier appeared on M.I’s 2008 track Fast Money/Fast Cars, predating his mainstream breakthrough by about two years.

In other news… A man was reportedly left speechless and visibly stunned after meeting his online girlfriend for the first time, only to discover that she is physically handicapped and has no legs.

The man had been communicating with the woman for several months, and the initial face-to-face encounter quickly turned emotional as he struggled to process the unexpected physical revelation.

Although the woman appeared cheerful and confident, her physical condition caught the man entirely off guard. The incident has sparked broader discussions online about honesty, empathy, and expectations in modern dating.
