The Edo State House of Assembly has officially summoned Hon. Natasha Osawaru, wife of iconic Nigerian music star 2Face Idibia, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week.
In a sitting on Tuesday, lawmakers made the decision following Hon. Natasha Osawaru’s recent public outburst and statements, which allegedly stirred controversy both within and outside the state.

Hon. Osawaru, who represents Egor Constituency, has been at the center of intense online discussions alongside her husband, 2Baba, with some netizens calling for a disciplinary review of her behavior.
The Assembly’s Ethics Committee questioned her over allegations of misconduct, abuse of privilege, and actions capable of embarrassing the institution.
The summon has immediately sparked reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating whether the move is politically motivated or a necessary step to uphold legislative integrity.
Some supporters argue that the Assembly is simply protecting its image, while others believe the issue has been blown out of proportion due to Natasha’s celebrity connection to 2Face Idibia.
As of now, neither Natasha nor 2Face Idibia has released an official statement regarding the incident.
Many Nigerians remain eager to hear her response and await the possible outcome of the committee hearing.
