Reality TV star and actress Roseline Afije, popularly known as Liquorose, has opened up about how she created the name that later became her public identity.

Naija News reports that in an interview with VJ Adams, she said she chose the name in December 2012.

According to her, the name came from her fondness for liquor and also from her own name, Roseline.

She said she was a shy person at the time and wanted a name that felt bold.

During the conversation, she spoke about how much she values family time.

She mentioned that her busy work life keeps her away from home more than she would like.

She said she misses her room, her family bond, and the stories they often share.

She added that the last time she spent time in her old neighbourhood was the previous year when she visited for her yearly charity work.

Liquorose also talked about her plans for the future.

She said she hopes to raise a large family and wishes to have nine children.

She said: “I picked Liquorose on December 31st, 2012. I like liquor, and my name is Rosaline as well. I am a very shy person too. My mum says in her language ‘Alcohol is never shy’”

“I don’t go home often; it’s bad. I miss my home, I miss my bed. We are very close in my family, and we know how to make each other laugh. We have stories we tell each other. I miss that. The last time I was in the hood was last year because I do this charity stuff every December. That was the last time, and it’s bad.

“I want nine kids.”
