Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that she just isn’t fully comfy being addressed because the “Queen of Afrobeats.”

The music star famous that whereas she values the love and admiration from followers, she feels the title shouldn’t be restricted to her alone, as many different feminine artistes are equally deserving of the popularity.

In a latest chat with Apple Music’s Ebro, Tiwa defined that though the tag is flattering, she prefers to not embrace it totally as a result of it comes with heavy expectations.

“Individuals name me the Queen of Afrobeats, and I admire it,” she stated. “However actually, there are quite a lot of us who’re queens.”

“Personally, I don’t like that tag, it’s uncomfortable as a result of I really feel like if I begin accepting it, I have to be humble and secondly, it doesn’t make sense to me. So, I don’t [accept it]. However I admire it. It didn’t give you it. I feel it’s simply because I used to be one of many first feminine artists in Nigeria to breakthrough. I do admire that. I’m not taking it without any consideration.”
