Former Big Brother Naija housemate Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has asked Nigerians to stop directing all their anger at President Bola Tinubu while overlooking the roles of other leaders across the country.

Naija News reports that Tacha made this known in a viral video released on Monday, where she pointed to the recent disbursement of ₦2.2 trillion by the Federation Account Allocation Committee to the federal, state, and local governments.

She stated that funds are available but often wasted by those entrusted with them.

She said that while many Nigerians are quick to attack the president, governors, senators, and local government chairmen escape such public pressure, even though they control large sums of money meant for development.

Tacha expressed concern that many citizens cannot even identify their local government chairman, yet they expect only the president to fix every problem.

The reality star stressed that if Nigerians start demanding accountability from governors, lawmakers, and council chairmen, the country would see real changes in governance.

She called on citizens to shift their focus beyond the presidency and hold every public officeholder responsible for their actions.

She said: “44 billion, I didn’t say million, 44 billion has been disbursed to a local government chairman. Watch how they’ll do absolutely nothing with it, because at the end of the day, they understand that Nigerians will come out and drag Tinubu. They’ll come out and drag the presidency.

“Money has been given to your state governors, money has been given to your local government chairman, your House of Reps members, your senators. Hold them by their neck, let them deliver. If you start dragging these people individually, we’ll see that Nigeria will change.”

The August 2025 FAAC meeting had shared ₦2.2 trillion among the three tiers of government, one of the highest allocations in recent years.
