On Monday, Nicki sparked Cardi’s anger by posting a series of disparaging tweets before deleting them. Using lyrics from Cardi’s song “Magnet,” Nicki mocked her. While Nicki’s tweets are gone, Cardi’s responses remain visible.
In one tweet, Nicki wrote: “Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy / RUNNING TRAINS. Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee.”
Cardi responded by pointing out that she and Nicki do not see themselves as peers due to their age difference. Cardi B, 32, released her first successful single in 2017, whereas Nicki, 42, had her first hit in 2010, according to the Daily Mail.
