The crisis rocking the opposition Action Alliance (AA) is yet to abate, as the Chief Kenneth Udeze-led national executive of the party insists that they have the strong backing of the law courts.

AA’s National Secretary, Vernimbe James, in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, explained that all six judgments, both at the trial and appellate courts, had conclusively settled the matter in favour of the Udeze-led National Leadership of the party.

AA was reacting to the judgment of a Federal High Court in Osogbo, which purportedly affirmed the rival Adekunle Rufiai Omoaje-led executive as the authentic leaders of the party.

Faulting the Osogbo court’s position, the party called on INEC to adhere to the rule of law by not according recognition to the Omoaje-led executive, pending the outcome of their appeal in the matter at the Supreme Court.

The party further called on the Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court to, as a matter of urgency, direct the transfer of all AA-related matters pending at various Judicial Divisions of the Federal High Court, allegedly filed by Omoaje, his agents, and privies, to the Abuja Judicial Division of the Federal High Court.

This, according to the party, is to avoid conflicting judgments by the same court in the matter.
