Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has disclosed how she facilitated the arrest of the lady who secretly filmed her during her gym workout.
Recall that pictures of the actress had gone viral during her workout session in a Lagos gym, which fueled intense body-shaming earlier this year.
Speaking about the incident during an episode of the Honest Brunch Podcast, the actress disclosed that she personally tracked down the woman and ensured she was arrested.
The thespian recounted how the unauthorised clip sparked public mockery and how she insisted on holding the culprit accountable after the gym allegedly refused to disclose her identity.
“iFitness hid her information from me. I found her. I got her arrested, of course,” Blessing said, expressing anger over what she described as a gross violation of her privacy.
Before revealing details of the arrest, the actress condemned those who mocked her appearance in the leaked footage, defending her natural body and dismissing comparisons with women who had undergone cosmetic surgery.
“You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body. Are you stupid, sis?” she said bluntly on the podcast, insisting that she dresses for comfort at the gym, not to impress anyone.
“This is who I have been. I wear the clothes that make me feel comfortable. I’m not trying to hide from nobody,” she added, noting that she would not pretend to look flawless while exercising.
